"Cheshire Cat Moon" start to finish slideshow

A peek into the process in creating an acrylic painting. Sometimes major element changes happen during my process, but this time it remained true from the start. I think I spent about 20 hours on it altogether.

This painting is still for sale at my Etsy store! Thanks for looking!

EDIT: this painting has SOLD!  Thanx Keith!

The queen of Halloween

I have never met anyone who loves Halloween as much as I do. It shows in her style, it shows in her taste and it shows in her artwork. When she's not writing or painting for Hawenland, she may tell you about it herself one day, in the meantime, I will share with you her Halloween awesomeness!
First we have "Halloween Kitty", a cute little feline having fun in a pumpkin patch. It measures 4 x 4", done in acrylics over canvas. It will go up here for sale soon...

Next, "Spirit of the Harvest" a soulful spirit of Autumn roaming wistfully under a full moon night. It measures 6 x 8", done in acrylics over canvas. It has recently SOLD in her Etsy store.

This one is painted over stretched canvas, measuring 4x5
inches! And is a super cute mini painting! Titled "Halloween
Boo" it is an original painting, not a print, signed and dated,
sealed in gloss varnish, sides are painted and is ready to hang.
Made with acrylic paint, glow in the dark paint and love. The
effect of the glow in the dark paint is very beautiful at night.
Still available here at her Etsy store!

"Halloweens Dream Night" is what this next little beauty is titled. It features her signature big eyed style doll with bats and a pumpkin under a glow in the dark starry moonlit sky. It painted in acrylics over a 7" circular wood panel. It is available here at her Etsy store, but it won't last long, they never do!
EDIT: SOLD
And lastly, for this post, this little witch is executed in mixed media consisting of some collage, stamping, glitter, glow in the dark paint, watercolors and acrylics done over a 6 x 6" wood panel. It is appropriately titled "Spirit of Halloween" and is her first in the series of 365 Dolls. Still available at her Etsy store, but not for long!
EDIT: SOLD

Jorda rocks my world and her talent never ceases to impress me. Hope you enjoyed her work and this post. Thanks for coming by and checking us out! See ya soon!!!

Only 77 days until Halloween!

We love Halloween. The weather, the costumes, the celebrations and all the spooky wonderfullness that goes with it. That time of year when all the ghosts and goblins come creeping around to let you know there really are things that go bump in the night. It keeps one young at heart.
In honor of this timeless holiday and source of endless inspiration, we have created some artwork to share with you all! Inspired by the work of a Halloween guru, Pumpkinrot, (you should really check out his stuff on the web) these little holiday works of art add a sense of the true spirit of Halloween. First off, Spooky Witch Light Jars...

These are Kerr mason jars covered in spooky paints, inks and stains wrapped in twine and gauze and fitted with battery powered flickering LED tea lights (candles work too!)

Next, we have some little Creepy Crawly Pumpkins, made of sculpy, wire infused moss, bits of vine and also fitted with battery powered, flickering LED tea lights...

and lastly, for this post, some awesome Scarecrow Wall Hangings made from sculpy, wood, wire and gauze... all of these fun things are available for purchase at my Etsy store!

Stay tuned for some more Super Awesome Halloween Art from Jorda!!!

Extraterrestrials

or maybe extradimensionals
I could go on and on and on about them, but I won't... for now. Instead, here are a few paintings I did to make you think. The originals are available at my Etsy store, without the digital frames.

Introductions please...

Halloween, the supernatural, the paranormal, extraterrestrials, jungles, nature at its finest, and although, potentially there are some, I can't think of more fascinating things. Painting them, sculpting them, dreaming them, discussing them and living them. It seems my mega-super-ultra-awesome-nuclear-fission to the max wife and I have these things chronically on the brain. That, and our children.
Hello readers, I am Tommy and that is my wife Jorda. She is my ONE in 7.03 billion. (currently... the number grows every minute) This is our first blog together. It's my first blog ever...
Anyway, we are Artists. with a capital A.
 Freaks.
 Lovers.
 Nomads.
 Deviants.
 Mavericks.
 Dreamers.
 Human beings. (mostly)
 Did I say Freaks?
We are muses to each other. Not a minute goes by that we aren't bouncing ideas, making plans, and putting them to reality.(whatever that is) That is, when we aren't cuddling. When we aren't cuddling the paint is flying. The blood flies too. We are both tattoo artists as well. In this blog, I'm sure you will see so very much in the way of painting, tattoos, pics of incredible places, fantastic flora and fauna and crazy things on the road to eternity that your head will spin. So sit back, turn off your television, better yet, throw it out the window, grab some popcorn (pan made, of course, never microwaved) and enjoy the ride...
